More Colorful UI Wiki
Welcome to the More Colorful UI documentation. This SKSE plugin lets you customize the color of activation text in Skyrim based on configurable prefixes.
What It Does
More Colorful UI hooks into Skyrim's activation text system (the text that appears when you look at interactive objects) and applies custom colors based on text prefixes you define in an INI file.
- Color-code activation text by item type or custom prefix
- Simple INI-based configuration - no ESP required
- Works with Skyrim SE, AE, and VR
- Lightweight with minimal performance impact
Quick Example
Configure colors in Data\SKSE\Plugins\MoreColorfulUI.ini:
[Colors]
Take=#00FF00
Open=#FFD700
Read=#87CEEB
Steal=#FF0000
Now "Take Iron Sword" appears green, "Open Chest" appears gold, and "Steal Sweetroll" appears red!
